I am a Tulsa native and have lived in Southern Reserve since May 2016. I have a beautiful wife of 14 years, Audrie, and we have two boys, Karsen (11) and Owen (9). They both attend Jenks West Schools. We initially chose to build in this neighborhood because we thought highly of Jenks schools, were impressed by the amenities this neighborhood had to offer, and it was located well between Audrie’s parents and mine.
What we’ve come to learn is that Southern Reserve has been much more than “great amenities” to us. Audrie, my boys, and I have made several lifelong friends here and we are proud to call Southern Reserve our home. There is a great feeling of community here and people looking out for others, helping each other when they can, and just a good sense of neighborhood pride. For these reasons, I enjoy serving on the Board and contribute in any way I can.
I have worked for QuikTrip for 23 years and have held positions in Personnel, Operations, and Sales. Currently, I am the Operations Systems Program Manager, meeting the needs of our Store Employees by designing, developing and coordinating changes to existing or new systems our employees use.
I believe I can continue to bring value to the Board, and ultimately, the neighborhood with my background in business operations. I previously served for two years on the Board for Youth Services of Tulsa (YST) and on the Advisory Board for WEX, a global payment solutions company. I volunteered to be on Southern Reserve’s transition team a few years ago and was involved since day one in the turnover of the neighborhood from Simmons / OLT.
My expectations of this Board is to be fair and open-minded to all ideas and issues that arise, while upholding the bylaws and covenants in order to enhance our living experience and property values. The board must also be mindful of the neighborhood budget and make decisions accordingly.
I have a desire for this neighborhood to be a great community and a great investment.
