Fence Project
The Southern Reserve replacement fence project has started!
In this project, we will replace nearly all HOA-owned privacy fence with new six-foot cedar fence, stained, with cap rails and steel posts set in concrete. This includes the fence along 33rd West Avenue, both sides of 104th Street (our main entrance road), behind the pool and playground, and HOA-owned segments along the Creek Turnpike. The fence around the dog park will not be replaced because it is newer and has some life left.
This project’s budget is included in the Reserve Study we commissioned back in 2019. The HOA Board of Directors has met several times with Green Country HOA Management to replace our 17+ year old HOA maintained fence. After reviewing quotes from four vendors, we selected Landmark to remove and install new fencing around the neighborhood. Click this link to see a map of HOA maintained fences marked in red.
This will affect homeowners that have an HOA maintained fence on their property. For affected homeowners and renters, you will be contacted at least a week before the work starts on your property. The installers will remove the old existing fence and install temporary fencing while they work to complete a section with the new wood fence.
Work will start along 33rd W. Ave., then move to W. 104th St and finally end with the fencing that backs up to the park and pool. (Some fence along the Creek Turnpike will also be replaced, but that shouldn’t affect homeowners).
Once you’re notified that your fence is scheduled to be replaced you will need to remove any items that are stored within five feet of the fence and you’ll want to remove any attached decorative items. While it’s Landmark’s intention to be as careful as possible, any landscaping that abuts the fence in the easement may get damaged as posts will be removed and new posts installed.
You can expect workers to be in your backyard during construction and when fence stain is being applied.
Depending on weather, we anticipate the project to start the week of February 17th and take an estimated two months to complete.
